Studio Culture
What I'm finding is that social conventions usually observed are thrown right out the windows when people spend many hours locked in the same room. You would expect this to not be the case, yet there it is, loud music and stinky food. The music isn't such an issue, but tuna fish smell I simply can not handle. Why do people insist on eating that foul meat?
What worries me lately is the triteness of everything I produce. How much over-molded polypropylene does the world need?
There's a specific phenomena in studio class that consists of people using handsfree kits to talk on the phone while they build models. At times one can look up to see a sea of people talking to friends and family thousands of miles away, each an island of telecommunications.
Render, render, render.
I've taken up wood carving.
