Pictures from Tokyo & HK
I went to Photoworks after rena and Maggie recommended it. It went something like this:
him: Do you have a number where you can be reached?
me: 512 658 ....
h: 512... where is that?
m: Texas.
h: Do you have a local number?
m: That's my cell.
h: Are you going to get a local number?
m: Well, I'm moving to RI.
h: uhh....
m: Don't ask.
Then, today, on a similar vein of cellphone wonder, a friend called me as I was waiting to cross the street. During the conversation I spotted him across the street; he didn't know I could see him but I could. Seperated by maybe 20 feet and still sending our words zipping around the air from phone to network to phone, I realized the thorough modernity of the situation, smiled, and crossed the road to speak with him in person.
Gorillaz reminded me of the The Hempel and their 300 white orchirds.
With a couple weeks left before school starts again (when put like that, it sounds like I never left) I'm starting the long process of moving my life across the country again. This is the beginning of three years.
Oh, and then there's also some more photos:
